Raw Banana Masala Recipe | Kache Kele Ki Sukhi Sabzi
Raw Bananas are a good source of protein, vitamins, calories that makes it a complete nutritious hub. It can be used as a vegetable for making chips, curry, bhaji and kofta. Raw banana can be made in so many ways. The recipe which I am sharing today is made by sautéing raw bananas in onion tomato gravy with spice powders. Ingredients
- 3 Raw Bananas
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
- 1 tomato, pureed
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
- 2-3 cloves
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 3-4 black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Asafoetida- a pinch
- Yogurt- ½ cup
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon oil
Method to make Raw Banana Masala Recipe
Step 1: Peel and cut them thick in round shape. Heat oil in a kadai and fry these bananas till they turn golden brown. Keep aside.
Step 2: Remove the extra oil and add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, cloves, cinnamon, bayleaf, black pepper and asafoetida. When they start to crackle, add onions and ginger garlic paste and saute till they turn golden brown.
Step 3: Add tomato puree and stir. Then, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt to taste. Mix well all the ingredients and then add whisked yogurt. Stir till it starts separating oil from the sides.
Step 4: Add the fried raw bananas and saute for 2-3 minutes. Pour little water, cover the lid and cook till the vegetable it becomes soft.
Step 5: Transfer the dish into a serving bowl, garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
