How to make Mithi Seviyan (Vermicelli) Recipe ?

Mithi Seviyan Recipe | Sweet Vermicelli Recipe

A sweet delicious dessert made from roasted wheat vermicelli, milk, sugar and garnished with dry fruits. Vermicelli is also known as Seviyan in Hindi. A good option for kids breakfast or evening snack and is also made during any festive occasion. This is very simple and quick dessert recipe where vermicelli is cooked in milk and sugar. I have used non roasted vermicelli and fried it in desi ghee for brownish colour. You can also use pre roasted vermicelli. For garnishing you can use any of the dry fruits of your choice. Sometimes, I make Vermicelli Pulao with vegetables for breakfast as well.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Servings: 3

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vermicelli/seviyan
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 2 cups milk
  • 7-8 teaspoon sugar or as per your taste
  • 2-3 green cardamom powder
  • 4 Almonds (badam), finely sliced
  • 10 Raisins (kishmish)
  • 4 Cashew (kaju), finely sliced
  • 8 Pistachios
